With explicit changes in climate and its effects being observed more conspicuously where the impact is faced majorly by the frontline troops comprised of socially disadvantaged and marginal communities around the globe especially from the Global south.
In this series, we will be bringing to you the different disaster risk reductions on narratives and research work. It will focus on how marginal/native/indigenous communities around the world are adapting/reducing their exposure to disasters and raising awareness about the importance of reining in the risks that they face.
We plan to conduct a series on Climate resilience to disaster with a small roundtable discussion with 2-3 key discussants, on different themes of the political ecology of climate change, climate vulnerability, climate racism and climate injustice.
Our first-panel discussion session of Climate Change Talk series will be on Climate In/justice and marginal communities in south Asia, focusing India- Bangladesh by our experts.
