Short Biography
Rebecca is currently completing the MA in Anthrozoology at the University of Exeter, with intent to begin PhD-level research in 2022 after graduating. Their research focuses on elephant unemployment management solutions in Myanmar and the neocolonial factors affecting perceptions of the Canadian Atlantic seal harvest.

Rebecca's work is informed by the emphasis placed on symbiotic ethics by the Exeter Anthrozoology programme, their undergraduate studies in Anthropology, and a Kerulos Center course on decolonizing research. As such, they aim to include the interests of all human and nonhuman animals impacted by a given issue. Rebecca is a Junior Fellow in the GRN's Animals and Biodiversity Programme.
