Short Biography
Prerna Rathi is a humanitarian practitioner with an MSc in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies from the London School of Economics and a BA in International Studies and Philosophy from American University. She has worked with the government, non-profit and private sectors to facilitate accountability towards beneficiaries in the U.S., UK, Belgium, Lebanon, Nigeria, Nepal and India for 9 years. Specifically, Prerna’s expertise is in knowledge management, impact analysis, program designing and participatory research processes. Given her strong intercultural and conflict assessment skills, she has proactively provided surge support in emergencies such as the Syrian refugee response, Boko Haram crisis, Nepal earthquake and Kashmir flood relief. Prerna has been applying a peacebuilding lens through sustained dialogue and multimedia storytelling with refugees and displaced communities. Through these roles, she is a creative, passionate and motivating team-builder and recently founded a non-profit, People Beyond Borders.
